PGW's OEM Glass

PGW's automotive replacement glass is made with the same control standards, manufacturing processes, tooling and quality inspections used for PGW's original equipment (OE) parts.

As a result, PGW replacement windshields and tempered parts:

Better fitting equipment such as is available from an OEM manufacturer such as PGW means there is less likelihood of wind noise, leakage and appearance problems.

There are two basic causes for damage to laminated auto glass.

• Impact: This is the most common and occurs when an object strikes the windshield.
• Stress or Twist: A crack occurs when a windshield is twisted, either by flexing within the vehicle frame or because of improper mounting.

The introduction of chemicals and equipment in 1972 that were designed specifically to repair damage on laminated windshields has led to the subsequent development of sophisticated tools and superior resins. This, in turn, has enabled windshield repair to achieve the following, if performed by a trained professional:

• Improve the optical clarity by reducing the visible damage
• Re-create a smooth surface to prevent interference with the wipers
• Prevent the original damage from spreading further
• Add strength to the damaged area
• Retain the original seal by saving the windshield

Windshield Repair
Windshield repair is safe, effective, and convenient and typically takes 30 minutes to complete.

Windshield repair is also a good value. If you have comprehensive coverage, and if you choose to have your windshield repaired rather than replaced, most insurance companies will waive your deductible, leaving no costs for you.
 
Windshield Replacement
Quality windshield replacement involves a multi-step process and use of sophisticated adhesive systems. The amount of time required for a quality installation will also depend on the existing weather conditions. Be sure to ask the installer to provide an estimate, including safe drive away time—the amount of time a vehicle needs to sit before it is safe to drive again.
